I was leading design to concept and build the team's digital presence with a buzzing new home enhanced with AI, customer page building and from a brand design perspective new name, icons, slide decks, and newsletters – in an evolving digital space to keep the team connected with the core brand and grow communications with their customers, vendors and the wider organisation.
I spend many hours searching the constanly evolving brand guidelines and assets to link my team's elements such as icons, colour and tone of voice in the site and other materials with the core brand. I wanted to make sure the team digital presence felt fresh, easy to approach, inclusive and 100% Microsoft. The launch of updated Fluent 2 design system supported the mission as we could connect the site components to the system and feel fresh.
The new home allowed the team's specialised smaller expert teams to summarise, discover and share their work and discover others. Easy documents sharing and personalised custom pages added more "wow" factor to their work while saving time.
Trustworthy and meaningful AI experience (AIX) is achieved by responding to a need to ‘elevate discovery’ and improved by validation with team members. Aligning the AI chat interface with the brand increases recognition, trust, and usability as it “feels like home”.
I lead the design for few years and was instantly inspired by the innovative spirit and touch in creating and improving the team digital presence. From custom page creating to AI tools I felt that only imagination could limit our ability to support the team's healthy growth during their epic journey home – and redefine "home".
